Where Can I Get A Cheap, Accurate, Simple Sound Level Meter?

Hey guys, I have the one from radioshack, but because it has a selectable range, it is very ainnaccurate (can only measure within 10 dB of the number selected). I am looking for the most accurate one for a reasonable price (under $100), and remember it CANNOT have a range selector.

Also, do you have to calibrate these, and how often.

Thanks!

Answer:
I don't know of any SPL meters that have the kind of dymanic range necessary to eliminate a range switch. Actually, a range switch will provide for more accurate readings.

Here is one (with pointers to other similar models) with an accuracy of +/- 2 dB and a resolution of 0.5 dB (digital display):

Keep looking on this page for others.

CheckMate also makes a calibrator for their SPL meters, the CM-C500.

.
Check Ebay. Always good deals on electronics.
check ebay i think they have very equitable decible meters there (some are cheap too)
