Where can I get supplies of carbon fibre and kevlar, and how much do they cost ?

Answer:
Possibly ebay, though be prepared to pay alot.
Go the the source link and search kevlar then carbon. They come in lots and lots of widths/lengths/shapes/thicknes... Enjoy.
I have almost always used www.fibreglast.com. Unfortunately Carbon Fiber is much more expensive than it used to be due to increased defense spending and the 787.

You can expect to pay 50-70 dollars a yard. Kevlar is a little cheaper, but not much. There a a few other suppliers on the internet too. Fibreglast has a sample pack you might be interested in if this is your first time with composites.
