I have an airconditioner that has a 220 plug. What happens if I put a regular 110 plug on it??

Answer:
If you plug it into a 110 volt supply you will burn out the motor.
At best it won't work. At worst you'll end up doing something wrong and electrocuting yourself or starting a fire, or both.
if you put a 110 plug on it, it might not be powerfull enough to withstand such power and blow a fuse.
I'm not a man or electrician...just a dumb woman but doesn't sound good...Don't think I would try.

Don't do it, it's stupid and it won't work.
If u put only 110 plug on 220 plug airconditioner. The AC wont start. Because the AC is has high watt then the plug u have.
configurations are different for receptacles and plugs for 120 volts and 220 volts here in canada and USA, so the 110 volt male plug won't fit on a 220 volt outlet and vice versa, besides your a/c is 220 volts (I presume) because the installed plug is 250 volts rated, but if your a/c is 110 volts then it is ok to use a 110 volts plug.
it's over to its allowability , it will explode i tell u , I hope it will not cause fire.
