How can my torch better?

i made a small one on a stick it lasted 20 minutes so what can i do to make it better like adding stuff to it
p.s. i need a flamable item that burnes long no torch fluid

use tungsten(it glows at temperatures of abt 1300 degree c ),
or try any of thiz phosphorus , rubidium , potassium, lithium , sodium , calcium , barium, cesium
You can melt wax into the cone of the birch torch, or pour some heated roofing tar (buy it in a can at your local home-improvement hardware store) into the cone of the torch.
Or, just soak some rags in the roofing tar (and/or wax), and wrap it around a stick.

typically torches are tar (or some other low grade petrol based gunk) soaked rags rapped around a stick. tar can be difficult to light but once lit will not easly go out (light rain)
