what is the name of the actual person who invented the color television?..and I mean the actual engineer, not the company who produced it...

Answer:
Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena
Kris Trexler's
Kris Trexler
I'm not sure if they listed and actual engineer, but a Russian inventor, named Vladimir Zworykin invented the cathode-ray tube called the kinescope in 1929. The kinescope tube was sorely needed for television. Then it was a team of engineer from the RCA Laboratories did the rest.. just check out this source.. this might help you out..
There was no one person who deserves credit; there were several inventions, put together by the National Television Systems Committee in the 1950's that were key. Perhaps the most important of these was the shadow mask picture tube.
I'm afraid that from 1950s onwards electronic technology became too complex for anything significant to be the work of a single engineer.

However, some early experimenters did produce colour television of a sort, notably the Scottish inventor John Logie Baird. In the late 1920s he used a sequential system with mechanical red, green and blue filters rotating in front of both the transmitting device and the receiver screen. Needless to say, the quality was terrible.

Colour TV as we have known it until the recent advent of digital TV, plasma and LCD screens was put together in the 1950s by the National Television Standards Committee (NTSC). A European version known as Phase Alternate Line (PAL), which gave better colour stability, was developed a few years later.

No doubt research would reveal the names of various project leaders for NTSC and PAL, but they would have been more managers than inventors.
