How to rewind motors? There are lots of motors but i would be glad to learn as many as possible...?

i would like to start a repair shop for motors hence i would need every knowledge on every kind of motors. pump motors, drills, fan motors, grass cutter motors, etc.

Answer:
better learn to rewind motors with a high horsepower rating and with a medium voltage rating(2.4kv, 4.16 kv) and it will be worth it. if you will know the principle of three phase motors, connections internally are almost all the same, just number of poles will be your concern.
Here's the problem: Rewinding motors is very labor intensive -- it takes a lot of *time* to rewind a motor I assume you want to earn more than minimum wage, but you won't be able to charge the customer more than the replacement cost of a new motor.

Example: I just bought a new 3/4 HP motor for my evaporative cooler for US$60. The old motor could be rewound (or it might be the starter capacitor), but it would take many hours to rebuild it. The cost of the repair parts might be US$20, but if it takes 10 hours (a reasonable time) then the labor cost would be US$4 per hour.

Another example: I have bought 2 motors for my furnace blower for $110 in the past 5 years (one had just had a warranty expiration -- i was mad). For this price I called around to industrial motor companies in town to see if it would be cost-effective to rebuild the motor. No one would even consider it, because it would cost twice as much as a new motor (and they knew it).

Where it is cost-effective to rebuild, is for very large industrial motors, where the cost of a new motor is hundreds or thousands of dollars.

If you want to open a small motor repair shop the thing to do is stock replacement motors (if they make them) and simply replace the parts. Unfortunately even the cost of replacement parts is sometimes more than the cost of a new item -- for the types of items you mention.

I hate to be discouraging, but that's the truth and the way things are.
