What are the dangers and hazards of electricty??

can you give complete info on the hazards of it...or you can also share your experiences on it because i'm having my term paper and my title is "Electricity: A second to kill" please help me guys..thanks..

Answer:
Electricity is an energy . Higher dose of any energy is dangerous for living being and electricity is no exception . To control and reduce hazards from electricity , some safety practices in installation, operation of electric equipment whether rotary or static and cabling/distribution network is necessary . Safety notices, Hazard zone classifications and selection of equipment suitable for installation in those hazard zones, Classfication of enclosures/nsulation rating / periodic testing of insulation strength of cables/transformer oils /windings/ earthing/grounding of electrical equipment and testing , safety instruction and manuals for high voltage equipment/ overhead cables are to be followed . How to give first aid to a person who sufferd electric shock. What are the precautions to prevent short circuit in lines and how to tackle an electrical fire. Which fire extinguishers are recommended for electrical fire extinction etc.etc.
You have got some points to ellaborate here. Rest you find from any handbook on industrial safety or NEC 70 standard . They are definitely available in your college library
Well, being that it only takes 10mA to stop your heart, it s very dangerous. Simply put, Electricity is unpredictable, it will do whatever it wants whenever it wants.
Burn, fire, electrocution and electric shock , thank you.
ok here's an experience I remember from early childhood. I must've been only about 2 or 3 at the time. I was playing with my mom's keys in a store, and there was an exposed outlet in the floor that to a 2 year old brain must've looked like a keyhole. I was lying down on the floor and stuck the key in the outlet. Sparks arced around the key and it turned black, and I think it blew fuse in the store too. I still remember the shocked look on the store mgr's face. I remember mom had to call someone to get us home, too because couldn't use the car key.
This is why they make outlet protectors to keep toddlers away from electrical outlets.
Simplicity of Electricity

The simplicity
of electricity
is that it never tires
of going down wires.

The invention of plugs
was to stop mugs
who touch wires
becoming electric fires.

The simplicity
of electricity
is that it seems to know
it cannot flow
through plastic.

Fantastic!

^_^
there are a lot to say on this subject but as a brief answer the electricity will be hazard if it flow through your body and it will flow if you form a close circuit our body acts as an electrical resistance of at most value f 10Kohm and the circuit will close for example when you hold two bare terminals of an electrical output with your bare hand the circuit is closed and the elctricity flows it is the current that will hurt you not the voltage the current flowing over 33 Micro ampre can cause serious damage so depending on the resistance of the part of body through which the circuit is closed different value of voltage can be hazardous also if you hold one output terminal in your bare hand and your bare foot is on the ground then again the circuit will be closed via ground
