Answer:
If you are interested in learning about industrial robotics, http://www.robots.com is a good location for all types of information. There are informational videos, hundreds of article summaries and links, and data about individual manufacturers, robots, and parts. You can purchase used robotics parts from this site as well.
The Robotics Industries Association also has a wealth of information about robotics. RIA’s robot safety guidelines are becoming standard guides for robotics throughout the United States. Go to http://www.roboticsonline.com for RIA info.
Another approach is to consult robot manufacturing company websites. Go there to learn about cutting-edge robotics design and equipment.
all you have to do to get more than a wealth of info.begin here by punching in nasa robotics online just that way
if thats too "out there" lol; let me know and i 'll send you more links.have a great day & happy hunting

PS: my sites still under construction
I participate in FIRST Robotics (high school competition) and we use a lot of parts from IFI Robotics (www.ifirobotics.com). If you are just starting, then I would recommend Vex kits (www.vexlabs.com), which are like Erector sets. Vex robots are small and easy to learn to build and program. Hope this helps.
