In my calculator there is a solar cell what does it do and where is it connected you think?

Answer:
Solar cells use solar energy or generally the energy of the light and transform it to electricity. The solar cell is some sort of semi conductor, that under the influence of light it forces the electrons to move in a certain way causing voltage differential and eventually current. Also it is connected to the battery in a parallel way, so that each battery pole is connected to each cell pole and altogether they're connected to the device's poles. This enables the solar cell to charge the battery and to provide electricity for the calculator, whereas if there's not enough light the battery provides the device with the essential power.
The solar cell is the need for light, any light. Just open up the calculator where there is light, and the calculator is automatically is on. It doesn't take batteries. The connection is sunlight, light in the house, school, workplace, and so on.
normally solar cell will work through sun light
the solar cell provides electric power to your calculator. it acts as a battery in your calculator except that it does not store power. purely solar cell operated batteries do not function without the sun. hybrids switch to a battery in the same instance and uses the solar cell only when there is enough sunlight.
The solar cell converts light energy, to electrical energy that maintains the charge in a small internal battery. (Better if it's sunlight, but house lighting will do the job)
When the calculator is not receiving direct light to the solar panel, the calculator works off the battery but, if the solar panel is not receiving light, the battery will eventually flatten depending on how much you use the calculator.
