What if you come up with an Idea to make Electricity out of a magic box.?

Obviously you'd be rich even if you sold each megawatt for a penny. You would also stop much of the feuding that goes on all over the world in the struggle for energy. The downside would be that anyone who is getting paid by the oil industry (99% of the rich and powerful) would be after your head. Maybe you can pull a cloak of invisibility out of that magic box, you would need it.
I would look into marketing it to the same dummies that have been buying perpetual motion machines for the last century and a half.

Basically you'd have two choices. You could sell the plans for the box or you could maintain control of the patent yourself and sell the electricity itself. For price, I think rather than sell it at a specific price per machine, I would ask for a percentage of the sales of electricity. That way, you'd have a continuing income that would never end.
It would throw things out of kilter somewhat in the world economy since the countries that depend on sales of coal for production of energy would lose this source of income. It wouldn't affect the petroleum industry as much since most electricity is produced by using either coal, natural gas, or hydroelectric force produced by dams, and some nuclear energy. And come to think of it, depending on how the electricity was sold, it might not make that much difference to the end user, unless the box could be sold in a small enough version that the individual user could hook his house up to it. Then it would really cause problems for the main suppliers! But it would make things a lot better for the common man.
Now if you want to really throw things out of whack, develop a cheap substitute for petroleum products, not just gasoline but all the things we make out of oil as well.
Convince the world that there is a shortage of one of the world's most vital resources -- electrons. Create the notion that the world's energy requirements are increasing and if we don't do something about the shortage of electrons, there will be mass histeria and panic -- that the world's great ecomonies will crumble and we'll be pushed back into the dark ages.
If you can do that, then your "Magic Electricity" box should sell like hotcakes!
