Is it required to have a higher resistance to a VOM?

multi meter...

Answer:
if ur talking abt multimeter then there is no ans.

that multimeter can be us as volt meter this case it has high resistance for ammter very low resistace
for mesuring resistance that meter is source of current and wknow for source resistace is idealy zero
Are you talking about the input resistance of a VOM? If so, then the answer is yes. The higher the resistance of a VOM is the lesser it affect to the circuit it is measuring into. Then the more accurate your reading is. The ideal value for VOM input resistance is infinty, so that it will not affect the circuit to which it is measuring.
