I need to compare and contrast tempature, heat and thermal energy, can someone help me?

Answer:
Temperature is the magnitude of the molecular kinetic energy an object.

Heat is energy transfered from one object due to a difference in temperature.

Thermal energy is the energy of a system related to heating effects, e.g. temperature increase or decrease.
Temperature is a "relative" measure of heat energy. Example, -40C = -40F = 233K They are temperatires that measure the same heat energy weithin a substance.

Heat and thermal energy are interchangable in most circumstances, and indicate the averge level of excitation of electrons in a substance. In physics we are talking about kenetic energy, where velocity goes back to electron speed.

Temperature is a measure of 'How Hot or Cold' a substance is and is measured by a thermometer in °C or °F.
(These can be converted to Absolute temperatures by adding 273 to °C ( = Kelvin) and 460 to °F (= Rankine)).

Heat Energy is due to the Kinetic Energy of the Molecules of a substance and is generally measured using a Calorimeter.

Thermal Energy is measured by calculation of heat Input to, or Removal from, a substance by its Specific Heat Capacity in J/g/°C (or cal/g/°C), or (Btu/lb/°F) to affect a change in temperature in °C or °F. (Sensible Heat).
And, by its Specific Latent Heat Capacity in J/g (or cal/g) or (Btu/lb) to affect a change in Phase (or State). (Latent Heat).
