My dad worked there in Alamogordo, NM. during the late 1940's till 1956. He was a airplane designer. Then he got send to the Yuma Proving grounds. He was an engineering graduate. He served in WW2.
The thing is, he would never talk about the war. So what I'm wondering if Alamogordo or Yuma was exposed to the Radioactive stuff?

Generally they're pretty good about keeping people away from radioactivity, at least now. It would depend on what he was doing to see if he was actually exposed. Likely he won't talk about it because it was boring and/or classified.
