High aspect drilling is drilling a very thin slot or small diameter hole in (relative to slot or hole size) thick material -- the ratio of depth to width / diameter is very high.
Some of the highest ratio EDM I have seen is "microwire", and you can get ratios as high as 200-µm diameter hole to 6-mm depth (aspect around 12:1).
