Who earns more? A Geologist or Chemical Engineer?
Answer:
chemical engineers.
but i guess geologists working in a job petrolium related earn a decent salary..
if you're interested in geology and engineering why don't you go into petrolium engineering?
Check with the placement office in your school - they'd know better than most.
But a really good petrogeologist who can evaluate where to drill for oil, and drill producing wells on a regular basis, will be worth his weight in gold.
Chemical Engineers earn the most out of any bachelors of science degree (that is, without grad school). However Chemical Engineering is a very difficult major, but you can probably handle it. =)
You can check what any professino makes in your area on www.salary.com. Engineering is the highest paying field out of all fields and specialties with an undergraduate degree only. Chemical is the highest within engineering. If you like Chem Eng and you like geology try majoring in Chem Eng and doing a minor in geology or double majoring.
The demand for Chemical engineer is greater than for geologist and the pay for CE is greater.
Chemical Engineer...
but money isnt everything!
i thought that is what i wanted to do as a freshman, but switched because decided big vats of chemicals werent for me.
