How can I lower the melting point of tungsten?

Answer:
Alloy it with just about any other metal, i.e. tungsten carbide, thoriated tungsten.

Pure Tungsten, by itself, cannot be changed physically to lower it's melting point (or any other physical property of the element).

.
The same way you lower the melting point of any solid.

If the solid expands when going from solid to liquid, adding pressure will lower melt point.

Adding a foreign body will lower the melt point.
That's kind of a material property. It can't be changed.

You can alloy it to change its specific heat, but you still can't really change the melting point.
