I think I need a little help and suggestions please?

Right now I'm tryna learn electronics&I'm having to learn and self-teach myself(becuase parents&counseler demanded I shouldnt do electronics, but I tryna teach myself anyways);well,I've got several books,3 to be exact and I think I finally got one that I can understand better and like.Well now I'm at the point where I've bought and collected the neccesary stuff just to get started, after reading,I now need some wires, insulated wires that can be used for electronics projects, but I cant seem to find any&the local do-it-yourself hardware stores dont seem to care electronics insulated wires. Can anyone suggest places that should have theese type of wire and electronic components and stuff?Even if it's a website, all suggestion are appriciated,thanks!:-)

I'm a little concerned about "becuase parents&counseler demanded I shouldnt do electronics", do they have some reason for that? In todays technological world, a knowledge of electronics would be a usefully thing, it's hard to imagine why some one would be discouraging you. If you have a history of reckless behavior I could see someone being concerned about you messing with high voltage, but one can learn a lot with quite safe battery powered circuits.

I'm surprised you don't know about RadioShack, do you live in the United States? if you do, RadioShack would be a good place to start, if you are in another country I don't know what to suggest.
Here is a good place to start, they have a lot of stores around.
Radio Shack will have a lot of parts for you!
You should probably make a trip to Radio Shack and talk to someone. You will need more than wiring and parts, e.g., a "breadboard" which lets you easily connect parts in a circuit in an organized manner, variable power supplies, etc. A discussion and consultation with someone knowledgeable in the store would be of great benefit to you and i think would same you some time in selecting what you need.
Electronics is a lot of fun, I have a degree in Electronics Engineering. Once you master the basics of resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors and go to digital electronics logic gates etc, you can do some really amazing things. I am making a digital speedometer for my car. You'll be amazed at what you can do with a lot of imagination and some junk electronics parts lying around the house.

I don't want to recommend Radioshack because individual parts (resistor, capacitor) are too expensive there. Radioshack is good for things like cameras, phones, etc., not individual parts like wires, resistor or diodes.

I always buy from http://www.jameco.com go there and select a category link from the left hand side titled "Education and Hobby". The only downside is that you will have to pay for shipping. So based on your budget and needs. Pick Radioshack or Jameco

EDIT: I don't understand, why your parents and counselor does not want you to study electronics? If you are not careful with electricity, you can cause a fire or hurt yourself or worst, kill yourself. Always learn to respect it, and always double or triple check your work before you flip the switch.
