Will this motor turn completely?

I have a question. I want to build this motor. However, I am wondering if the armature will turn completely or just rock back and forth if it works.

Answer:
You may need to start the armature spinning with your finger, but once it gets going, the rotational mass - more correctly called the moment of inertia - of the armature will keep it turning in the same direction long enough for the armature windings to make contact and give the armature a push through its next half-revolution.

Incidentally, this motor will work on either AC or DC power, which is why you can use either a small transformer (AC) or a bank of dry cells (DC) to power it.
