How does a Panel Discussion work?

I'm just curious.

Answer:
Not an expert on this subject, just some referrences to observe: Check out the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives if/when you can, as they have several Panel Discussions daily. Theirs is usually based on inquiries on a particular subject matter, and usually have a Committee-Panel asking for information about the subject, which expert witnesses answer for them. Understand that this is only a part of their Panel Discussion, as when all of their questions are recorded, they meet again to discuss and come to conclusions, etc; in another meeting or meetings. This is very similar to when I was in clubs and leagues in High School, College, and a Boardmember of some sports-leagues that I've been involved in. Hope this helps; the eggster.
