It is true that electrical engineer is very competive?

Answer:
Competitive in the sense of lack of work? Not at all, there's piles of work in electrical engineering and the profession is expected to grow at about the average rate. But, like any job, promotions and high positions are competitive, so work hard and be successful!
Its very true lot of it is being out sourced. Some of it is coming back but still doesn't look good for the future. But that is the same with engineering in general. But ee is way down on the list for projected growth..
