For those who have their PhD in electrical engineering how easy was it to complete school, were the exams hard

and how easy was it to get a job

Answer:
I am a PhD in electrical engineering at UPenn right now. It's pretty hard, and I did really well in undergrad.

We had to take 3 qualifying exams to become a PhD candidate. The first time I passed two out of the three, and had to take the third one the following year, which I passed. I spent about a semester lightly studying for each, and a month studying very hard before each exam.

I'm just starting to really get into research now. It's been a very humbling experience. It's the most difficult thing I've ever undertaken.

Can't help you much with the jobs.
