Are the threads on electrical pipe and plumbing pipe the same?

Answer:
80% of the time but sometimes you will bump into a project and say what the.. and they will be different. I seen somebody use ABS pipe with PVC so there is always a chance.
Yes both are N.P.T. Standard
Majority of the time they are the same, NPT, tapered threads.

Some conduit does come in NPS, straight threads.
Yes Rigid conduit threads are the same as plumbing pipe threads. They are threaded with the same pipe die or threading machines
While certain aspects of the two different piping types may be the same, electrical materials are manufactured, tested, listed, and labeled differently than plumbing products. In the end, the two are not interchangable and would likely not be suitable for or approved for the use.
Depends where you are... Here in Australia it is not uncommon to find BSP threads as well as NPT threads. BSP in many cases can look very similar to NPT to the untrained eye, but will not seal properly in some cases
