Its OK, that guy mathur is just not a certified math jeanie-us like me.
K has the best, Mathur is immature.
These are all conversion problems. You really should try to do it yourself. conversions is good stuff. REALLY! it is!

I know how it feels, it's boring, it's complicated, it's impossible to concentrate on.

Give it a shot. How about that first one. You're given time and speed.

whip out that old equation "distance =speed * time, " and you have:

Distance = 60 km/hr (6 hr)

So the hr's cancell out (do you understant why?)

and you're left with 360 km. Now since it wants the answer in miles, you need to convert it. so...

1 mile is 1.61 km. The conversion works like this:

360 km(1 mile/1.61km) = 224 miles.

You put km on the bottom (inside the parrentheses) because you want it to cancell out with the other km right?

You could also convert the speed first:

60 km/hr (1mi/1.61km) = 37.3 mi/hr

now 37.3 mi/hr (6 hr)= 224 mi.

it's all about getting the right units to cancell out so it leaves you with the ones you want
I thought school was over.
