I need to build a heat treatment vessel?

I need to built a heat treatment of metal components to heat up to 2200 degrees F in non corrosive. Must work in electrical power and must be rotary. The vessel should be a combination of annealing, stress reliving and normalising. Preferred material construction should be Stainless Steel. (Material specifications say that Normal stainless steel is not suitable) Can you assist me to source out atleast the material in Stainless steel family .

Answer:
The best material I can think of is Grade-HK of ASTM A297.
This has following composition- %C=0.2 TO0.6, %Mn=2.0max, %Si=2.0max, %S&P=0.04max, %Ni=18.0 to 22.0, %Cr=24.0 to28.0, %Mo=0.5max. Melting point of this material is 2552 degrees F. The most important property related to your application is Creep Strength and this matrial has a Creep Strength(0.0001%/hour) of 1.4Mpa at 2138 degrees F.
There is no steel that you can use at that temperature.

You are going to have to use a refractory lined vessel to insulate and protect the steel from the heat.

We used to build a lot of rotary kilns for temps. of 1500F to 1750F. These vessels were all made of carbon steel and were refractory (brick) lined to insulate and protect the steel from the heat.

The vessels were supported on two rollers, or tires that each encircled the shell near each end. The steel tires were each supported on a pair of smaller steel rollers so that the vessel could rotate.

There was a driven gear that encircled the shell between the two rollers. This gear was driven by a smaller gear/gearbox/electric motor drive.
