Can epdm rubber be engineered to be fireproof?

Answer:
There are a number of different materials that can be compounded into EPDM to make it fire resistant or self extinguishing when exposed to a flame source. But that is different than fireproof, which means non combustible regardless of heat input or oxygen content (think inorganics).
And even when made fire resistant, most organics such as EPDM emit decomposition products when exposed to high heat, many of which are very toxic
No. It's an organic compound made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. You put enough heat into it and it's gonna burn.
