Is it true that mechanical engineering is very tuff and that the packages offered by the companies arent good?

I am an engineer and as college classes go from hardest to easiest was
1. Cemical Engineering
2. Aerospace Engineering
3. Electrical/Computer Engineering
4. Fire Protection Engineering
5. Mechanical Engineering
6. Civil/Environmental Engineering
and as for salary when you are done school it goes pretty much in the same order with number one getting paid the most out of school and declining for there. Now you really need to get great grades in college to get decent pay out of school, and if you can internships look GREAT when you are applying for jobs after graduation.
It is very tough. I am not sure about tuff though.
