Better than what?
Electrical engineering is a very wide field, from theoritical to practacle. I am an electrical engineer, I work for a full service engineering company, I am a PLC programmer. We have project manager EEs and we have designer EEs. It would depend on your interest, I do a lot of field work, when a plant has an electrical problem, they often call me to come and trouble shoot the problem and find a solution. How would you like to walk into a 40 million dollar plant that was not working and they tell you to find the problem and fix it. Smile
As stated above there are many jobs one can get with an EE degree, same as most other engineering disciplines. No matter what field you pick there will be a demand, especially as the baby boomer generation retires. So there will not be a lack of work for any engineering field.
EE degrees TEND to be a bit more mathematical, so if math is something you hate I might think about choosing one of the other disciplines (although no matter which one you will have to take a decent amount of math).
The best job is one that you like. It is better to make less money and enjoy what you are doing and who you are doing it with. I am an electrical engineer because I really enjoy it, but it is not right for everyone.
