Does anyone know specifically how stone beads are produced on an industrial scale?

Answer:
For what i seen most stone beads come from countries that have basically slave labor. So they sit someone down and drill them; cut to shape; roll smooth.

You really don't so to many stone beads as most are glass and clay. They're faster and cheaper to make.
I would assume that they merely take clay, and bake it in an oven after they have poked a hole in it, and shaped it the way they wanted it.

Baking it in an oven will give it a "rock hard" texture and you wouldnt know the difference!

I wish you well...
