You can get oxygen from water (H2O remeber?) by applying a DC voltage (like the one from batteries) to a bucket of water, you only have to select the proper electrodes, the platinum electrodes work well. On one side you´ll get Hydrogen and in the other side you'll get oxygen. If youd add salt to the water (that acts like a electrolyte) this works even better, but be careful, whatever you put in contact with oxygen, if it can burn, it will, even without a lighter; and if you mix oil and oxygen, you'll get a nice explosion, but you can be hurt. Careful!
