How do u generate a microbubble?

this is for the purpose of my final year project: study of microbubble generation in hollow fibre membrane filtration. it is believed that microbubbles will reduce fouling problem in membrane filtration. in addition i also need to know more details about PIV(particle image velocimetry) and its application in this project. thanks a million!

Answer:
You may be able to generate very small bubbles by irradiating with a short-duration pulsed laser, like nano or femtosecond range.

PIV is a laser imaging technique that takes successive images of particles suspended in some fluid flow and calculates the velocity distribution by tracking the movement of the particles. If you need detailed understanding of this technique, you would need to consult with the manufacturer of your system or find a textbook.
