Which branch of Engineering will be in great demand in India for future? (10-15 years)?

Which branch of Engineering will yield immediate job with high salary after graduation? Tell me the branch of Engineering that will have an excellent boom and growth for next 10 years. Which branch of Engineering will be selected by many students of Tamilnadu this academic year?

Answer:
Civil. No matter what happens there will always need civil engineers and because of current growth in so many areas it's in very high demand.
Think of it this way; people might not have a need or want (think of recession) to build a house but there will always be a need to fix roads, repair/replace sewers/water/storm drains.
Civil isn't as glamorous as other engineering so they have a big shortage. With that in mind, it is in high demand and has better pay. Even the bad engineers are employed.

Hope that helps
