Answer:
You must first compute the bearing of AE
Ihope you can follow my method. Ifirst convert the given azimuths to bearings:
AB: S (180-164d35)E= S15d25'E
BC: N83d18'40"E
CD: N38d26'10"E
DE: S(180-159d50')E=S20d10'E
now compute the sum of the eastings and northings from A to E keeping in mind that S and W are negative
Eastings:
sin(15d25')100+sin(83d18'40")1...
26.58+.9932(135.67)+.6216(128.
26.58+134.75+79.64+38.39=
Eastings = 279.36
Northings:
-cos(15d25')100+cos(83d18'40")...
-.9640(100)+.1165(135.67)+.783...
-96.4+15.81+100.36-104.51=
Northings =-84.74
Thus we knwo that point E is 279.36 east of A and 84.74 south.
the bearing E to A will be Arctan(279.36/84.74)=3.29667
=73.12554 deg =N73d7'32"E
the azimuth will be 180--73d7'32"= 106d52'28"
to get the azimuth of AP subtract the given angle:
106d52'28"-67d45'10" = 39d7'18"
