Do LRFD load equations account for lateral loads?

What I'm trying to do is figure out whether or not LRFD load equations account for lateral loads i.e.(wind and soil pressure). I'm trying to do an analysis on lateral caisson deflection but am unsure of what loading equations to use. Please help. thank you.

Answer:
Lateral loads are something that you have to calculate and then apply these loads to your structure. The load combinations define which loads get combined with other loads, ie. Dead + Live or Dead + wind or seismic.

Depending on what code you are using, the load combinations are clearly defined.

If you have a drilled shaft (caisson is the wrong term) subjected to vertical and lateral loads, you need to you a program called L-pile or COM624P.

Methinks you need to consult with a geotechnical engineer who can help you.
