Also not that a 1/2-16 UNF is not a typical screw: At 1/2" usually comes in 13 threads per inch, for 16 threads per inch you would need to reduce the size to 3/8".
Sounds like a type of screw that is 1/2 inch long with 16 threads per inch. Not sure what UNC means, maybe the manufacturer.

yes it's a kind of thread. UNC stands for Unified National Coarse. I think i'ts 1/2-13 and not 1/2-16. 1/2 is the diameter and 13 is the TPI(Threads Per Inch). Or 3/8-16 and not 1/2-16

The 1/2 is the bolt diameter, the 16 is the thread count per inch, the UNC stands for unified national coarse thread. UNF would be for unified national fine threads.
