How does Engineering connect with other careers?

I am trying to find out if my career choice will give me a chance to have an impact on others, whether directly or indirectly.
For example, engineers help doctors by designing and building the equipment they use.... Am looking for the connection between Engr. and all other careers.
Thanks

Answer:
Essentially everyone in every career is affected by engineering. The only possible exception is a hermit living in a cave or something, but that's not a particularly popular career.

Most people drive cars, and almost everyone who doesn't takes a bicycle, train, or airplane to work. Cars, bikes, trains, airplanes, and any other transportation vehicle are all products of the mind of some engineer.

Any device you've ever used was thought up by an engineer (whether career or not). Engineering effectively makes the world go.

As far as direct connections to other professions in the modern world...

New physical phenomena discovered by physicists are put to use in new devices made by engineers.
Engineers create devices to augment or repair the human body, such as artificial limbs and organs, so doctors are connected.
All professional drivers/pilots/sailors have an intimate connection with their vehicle, which is the product of engineering.
Anyone who is a professional technician is servicing and repairing products created by engineers.
