Does anyone have a detail(drawings) for underpinning a rubble stone foundation to lower the basement?

I would appreciate it If you can share that detail with me for underpinning and shoring during the construction.

Answer:
As with most geotechnical problems, underpinning will be site specific. It depends on what type of soil/rock your footings are bearing. Given that a rubble stone footing is going to be fairly sensitive to movement and you're digging a basement, you're likely going to need a continous concrete beam under the rubble for each side and this would be supported on piles. How you are going to support the excavation would be another issue to consider in addition to underpinning. I suggest you consult a geotechnical specialist unless you want to damage your building.
