Is doing btech. from IIST is better than doing civil or chem. engg. from a good NIT?

Answer:
If, a person is getting a chance to do B.Tech from a NIT, then only a fool would pass such an opportunity. Go for NIT. It fares better than IIST in all respects.
No.
Go for NIT without any doubt and chemical is not a bad branch .
yes iist is a reputed institution and don't easily get such a college so grab the oppurtunity and go for iist.
it all depends upon what you want to do in future.go for IIST only if you have interest in space science and want to build your career in it.on the other hand if you want to keep options open that is to say you would like to go for an MBA or join a software company it is better that you take up civil or chem. in an NIT.i am from NIT bhopal and there are some software companies which also recruit civil engg. students. i have no idea about chem. since till last yr we didn't have such a branch in our coll. all the best.
