Why do they put an X on the windows surrounding the building there blowing up?

Just curious on how the x stops the windows from breaking.

Answer:
wats x
to keep the glass togethere somewhat
The X doesnt exactly stop the window breaking but if it does break, the X does stop glass flying everywhere. And if you look around after the explosion you can more easily see which windows need mending and which are intact.
The tape is to stop the window from breaking into a bunch of small flying shards of glass..the glass should be remover depends on were you do it..
it dosnt but prevent the glass from exploding all over
u know the weekest part of a glass board is the center so explosions coz the window glass to shatter and blown so the x prevent this by making these parts heavier and not blown away
