Which's better: to study civil engineering in some NITs or electronics &telecommunication/IT in good privates?
As mechanical eng. students join the software hubs, is it possible
for joining software firms after studying civil eng. from NITs. what is the opportunity to enter core sections of software hubs after studying civil eng. from NITs? what's the present demand of civil?on average what % placement is there now for civil from NITs?WHAT are the better NITs for studying civil eng. in INDIA today?
PLEASE DO ANSWER FOR ALL MY QUERIES!!
Answer:
it makes complete sense to opt for civil, simply because it offers u two options.
u can always sit for an IT company n work ur way up the software chain if u feel u begin to enjoy coding in ur four years of engineering.
else u can opt for a core job in india,or even btr civil is the gateway to the gulf.
so,i'd recommend civil at NITs compared to nething in a pvt. coll.
(p.s. u save a truckload of money too by studying at an NIT..trust me!!...so a lot more money to spend on alcohol!!)
i give 75% for college and 25% for course... if u are looking for civil in NITT or NITW then that would not be a bad idea... still in those NIT you can have lot of software exposure...but if u are looking for ECE in some top 15 college then i bet on those college....hope u got clear
