Induction motor operation?

A 400v, 3-phase, 100Hz, 8 pole induction motor runs at 24.25rev/s on full load. Determine:

A) The synchronous speed
B) The slip speed
C) The percentage slip
D) The rotor frequency

Answer:
Synchronous speed (rev/s) = 2f/poles = 25 rev/s

Slip speed = sync speed - running speed = 0.75 rev/s

Percentage slip = 100 X slip speed/sync speed = 3%

Rotor frequency = slip speed X poles/2 = 3 Hz
