Difference between hollow core slabs & suspended slabs ?

Answer:
hollow core slabs are precast reinforced concrete units typically 8 to 10 inches thick. Each unit is intended to span 8 feet or so between supports and they are typically 4 feet wide. The slabs are cast with circular voids running the length of the panel. These holes are not for looks but the analysis of these sections shows that the placement and size of the holes reduces the weight without sacrificing strength.

Suspended slabs or elevated slabs are cast in place onto forms and left there until the concrete cures sufficiently to allow their safe removal. These slabs are reinforced and are solid.
