What is standardization and difference of Indian standardization and British?
Answer:
ztandardization means rationalised specification of some engineering item from good / general engineering practice .Generally it is done by a competent authority set up by government of a country for use in the country . International body under UNO ( iso standards ) has unified several of this standards for common use all over the world .
Engineering standards for electrical installation items are many in BIS & BS . Though there are common things in both standards, both vary a little bit for country uses . Summarisation of such differences is herculean task . Better to follow a particular standard only for specific purpose.
The NEC standard ( e.g NEC-70 ) may be consulted for
common use of all electrical installation guidelines .
