"On the Stability Range of SiC in Ternary Liquid Al-Si-Mg Alloy" by M.S.Yaghmaee and G.Kaptay from the University of Miskolc
First two conclusions:
i. as a lowest temperature, the limit is a liquidus surface, as the production of MMCs is conducted with liquid Al-Si-Mg alloys,
ii. as a highest temperature limit, T < 1073 K (= 800 oC) for α-SiC and T < 1158 K (885 oC) for β-SiC have been found, corresponding to the eutectic point in the binary Al-Si system. At any other composition the maximum allowed temperature is lower.
What for tomake a bomb? ASAF?
AlMg alloys are not liquid at room temprature
