What affect did the 2000 sydney olympics have on the people, the animals, the natural enivonment and the city?
Answer:
The first poster has a good point. But it also forced the city to upgrade it's sewage and water sytems to be more efficient and helped improve pollution emitting industries emissions as they tried to clean up before the event. The long-run benefits to the improvements outweighs the cost of the event.
Obviously the people were happy.their city was in the spotlight, the hotels were full...and business was pretty good.It was bad time for the thugs, though, with hte additional security. Probably it was tough time for the mayor, policemen, and other people who are involved in serving the city.they had to be on their toes all the time.
The environment suffered, obviously.whenever such a big event happens, it definitely puts a lot of strain on the city infrastructure and resources.Pollution increases( remember they had to set up those olympic villages, and the main stadium was also built in record time.)
