Do company offer environmental education as contribution to community?

I'm looking for a case where a big company (especially car makers ) offers environmental education(or similar) to primary school kids.

Answer:
Back in the 50's, when I was at school, Shell used to provide coloured posters and educational packs on a variety of environmental topics (Nature Study in those days).

It gave me a 'soft spot' for Shell which has stuck over the years. I served my apprenticeship with them, I bought their petrol, I bought their shares, and I even buy it when they say they are not ripping off 'Nigeria'. It just goes to show the benefits of 'catching the young mind'.

Anyway, back to your question, Shell are still investing heavily in environmental education, and I'm sure they will help you. Go to shell.co.uk - look for the 'Social Investment' page and then click on the 'Shell Education Service'.

I think the other big oil firms probably do the same kind of thing but you'll have no joy with the 'car makers' - they have neither the money nor the foresight.

PS. If the big man at Shell is reading this please send the money to the usual bank account.
yes, they r contibution to community because these studies help u to much about environment and u can do various projects and experiment towards environment to make it more useful to people
SIA of Indiana doesn't necesarily offer education to primary school kids, but they do have some cool environmental outreach programs. They are a zero-landfill facility. The area around their factory, and areas they've bought around town, is a registered wildlife reserve. My school's ecology club participates in a program they offer called Students and Teachers Achieving Recycling Success. STARS challenges eco-friendly groups to come up with data about how much their school wastes, how they can bring those numbers down, community outreach, promotional projects, and creative reuse of materials. Everyone who participated last year got $500 to use towards recycling programs, etc. The woman who runs the program is Denise Coogan. I wish I had her email, but at least you can track her down through SIA. SIA is either Subaru or Suzuki (it used to be one, then it changed to the other) of Indiana Automobiles.
