What are some careers that involve helping people in Africa, and what degrees should i get in college?

You see, i love helping people and would love to live in Africa working for a charity helping with aids and poverty. What sould i study in college and how should i get started?

Answer:
Education or healthcare would be the fields to study. Join the Peace Corps and ask for a posting in Africa.

But be careful. Equatorial Africa is full of tropical diseases like malaria, schistosomiasis, leprosy, filariasis, trypanosomiasis, and leishmaniasis.

why not help people here at home, all too often we rush off to help other countries when right here in the states we have so many orphans and people that need help,, look at all the injured service people protecting our freedom and the help they need,
Medicine would likely be best to help them. Not just physicians but nurses and other areas of medicine as well. After that, perhaps some sort of agriculture background would be helpful.
