1. reduces pressure on non-renewable resources
2. reduces pressure on renewable resources
3. reduces the amount of refuse in landfills
4. reduces energy needed to create new products
5. teaches children not to be wasteful
6. creates jobs in new industries that process recycled refuse
7. reduces the contamination of groundwater near landfills
8. makes me feel like I am contributing at least a little toward
a better world for my grandchildren's (I have 6) children.

The answer is so obvious to me, that I question if you worded the question correctly or not...maybe you should add "details" to get the feedback you're looking for...?

well to re use the things that we have already used like cans we can re use them and make cans out of the ones we already used or the newspapers.. we can re use the paper to produce other things..havent you ever seen recycled paper.. they make cards out of them.
Reducing is using less to begin with,
Reusing is using an article repeatedly for its intended purpose (a glass container is a glass container whether it is a pop bottle or a jam jar, or a jam jar with pop in it ;-)
Recycling is using a discarded product as the raw material to create a new product.
So the successful outcome of recycling would be the creation of new products from old.
Less consumption of natural resources! of course the more paper being recycled the less trees are cut down! the more plastics are recycled the less elements are extracted from mother nature!
