What're humans going to do?
Answer:
We will have to adapt or die. When the time comes (sometime around 2050 depending on how we conserve energy) we will think of how our ancestors lived and learn from them. It will be hard to live that way, but after a year or so we'll get used to it. Our planet will be so much cleaner without oil and electricity.
We will become extinct just like any other species who cannot survive in their environment.
Have you ever seen how much uninhabited space there is in the USA alone? It's UNREAL. There is plenty of room left on this planet to grow food and all of that. There is no proof that there is an end in sight to the oil supply. Oil is not required to live anyway. I didn't know there was a water shortage. Last time I checked the precipitation/evaporation cycle has not gone on strike.
Seems to me that the problem is with countries that starve their citizens by not having any concern for them while their so called royalty lives in a palace.
If it all disappears then so do we . The only ones that will survive is the government underground with all there stock piles of food and water not to mention all there weaponry to kill you if you try to take it from them .
People will survive. We're tough.
Water is naturally recycled, and food is grown. Oil can be replaced with other energy sources.
The question is whether we'll be smart about this and thrive, or dumb and just struggle to hang on.
Smart means dealing with population, global warming, and the need for alternative energy; and avoiding overconsumption.
they will emigrate on an earth-like planet
Technology, a growing population and necessity dictate that change will occur and we will survive and continue to prosper in most sections of the world. Reserves of oil will remain on hand for select purposes. Water desalinization and restoration of underground aquifers will help ensure there is water available for crops, commercial and private use. Improvements in farm management and an increase in local farming will ensure that food is available as long as population growth is curtailed to manageable numbers.
It's a hard road, but as long as the masses are educated and vocal to their leaders, we'll get there. It's a global world now, but change begins at the local level and spreads across the planet.
There is definitely enough oil to go around until we decide to start using Nuclear power for its full potential. No government entity will ever pursue this until the profit "well" truly does run dry. Democrats & Republicans alike are owned by oil companies. Just multiply a trilion barrels (estimated barrels yet to be pumped) by $55.00 (low!) and then you will understand that with this much money (greed) yet to be made we will never solve the "energy crisis".
Don't worry about the water. It's within a teaspoon of being the same amount the Earth began with. Keeping it clean enough for consumption is the issue.
Food? Agri-technology will keep pace with demand so long as there's $ to be made and everyone has to pay to eat.
well accrording to God's word this is supposed to happen.
All that I can do is pray about it because only the few good will survive.
They'll die.
discovery was showing a week ago that junk can be converted into a kind of diesel!
recycling will be a civilized solution out of many challenges...
as far as water is concerned... it isnt going anywhere, even if it goes; we, humans [not all of us though ;)] are so smart, we ll find the cheapest way to make water available; somewhat like purifying sea water. space will surely be a problem; but we have already started to climb into a newer dimension: height! someday, it ll be a total mess but i m sure there will be a way out!
we are cunning animals; cant die so easy!
