Do Thermal Coffee Makers save energy?

You know, the coffee makers without hotplates. I'm thinking they would because the only energy you'd use is to brew the coffee, thats it.

Answer:
YES. From what our local news reported, coffee makers use up the electricity of 100 lightbulbs burning.. just to keep your coffee warm.
Have no idea? I use a kettle and pour it into a cup and drink it. Hooray for Lidl!!
Yes... The coffee is kept hot because the jug is insulated to stop the heat from escaping instead of a heater. Also remember to turn the machine off at the switch after it's finished brewing to save even more power.
