Full wash at 30 or quick wash at 50?

It's all about global warming so what do you think is best? A full wash at 30 degrees that lasts 2 hours or a quick wash at 50 degrees that lasts 32 minutes plus a rinse that lasts 30 minutes?

Answer:
If they are whites I would go for the 50 . I think two hours for a wash is far too long unless something is very dirty and whites do not stay white at a wash at 30. I have tried it and there is a veyr big difference no matter what anyone else may tell you Perhaps you ought to change your washing machine. My machine does a 30 minute quick wash at 30 and the higher temperatures at 1.30 and 1.10..its a Hotpoint and I am very happy with it.
Quick wash at a cooler temp works for me
i can wash my clothes on a quick wash at 30... !
Assuming a room temperature of 22, and assuming that the machine uses the same volume of water per minute, the quick wash is more energy efficient.

Proof:
In the full wash, the temperature rise is 8° (30-22) for a period of 120 minutes. Since time is proportional to volume (assumption 2), the energy required to heat the water is 8*120=960 units.

In the quick wash, the temperature rise is 28° (50-22) for a period of 32 minutes. The energy required to heat the water is 28 * 32 = 896 units.
I'd say quick wash 30 min bets 2 hrs in my book
quick wash at thirty works well and saves the planet a little
quick wash at 30
